Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has assigned Ali Al-Abed, the current Minister of Labour, to take on the duties of Minister of Oil and Gas.
This comes after he was previously entrusted with the responsibilities of Minister of Education.
On Monday, Al-Abed chaired an expanded meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, to discuss several critical issues affecting the oil and gas sector, reviewing operational and organizational challenges faced by the Ministry and the National Oil Corporation, as well as matters related to employee affairs and administrative and professional issues, according to a statement published on the Ministry’s official Facebook page.
Al-Abed emphasized the importance of joint efforts across all sectors of the Ministry to advance the industry and confront its challenges with professionalism and responsibility.
He also stressed that this collaborative approach is essential to ensure continuity of operations and to help the state achieve its energy sector goals.
